USIJ & MDMA Letter in Support of PERA, PREVAIL & IDEA

USIJ and MDMA wrote a joint letter to express their strong support for the Promoting and Respecting Economically Vital American Innovation Leadership Act (PREVAIL Act), the Patent Eligibility Restoration Act (PERA,), and the Inventor Diversity for Economic Advancement Act (IDEA Act), and urge the Senate Judiciary Committee to pass all three bills at the Sept. 19 markup and continue advocating for their passage in the full Senate.

The PREVAIL Act and PERA will make crucial improvements to the U.S. patent system, restoring balance in the patent validity review process and clarifying patent eligibility. Additionally, the IDEA Act will help unlock the potential of all Americans to pursue STEM opportunities, fostering greater patent activity among underrepresented groups.
